Investment: £50 per session
Sessions last for 50 minutes and are held weekly at the same time and day of the week. Our first session will be an assessment session, during which I will ask you to complete a client contact sheet and pre-counselling questionnaire to gather relevant background information (my privacy policy advising how collected data is used and GDPR statement can be found here), We will discuss what has bought you to counselling and go through our client contract together. All forms can be viewed by clicking the highlighted word.
I promise to be transparent with session boundaries, confidentiality limitations and honest about whether I feel it within my competence to help you. This will hopefully enable you to make an informed choice about whether you would like to work with me.
I’m client-led with the number of sessions and will never tell you how many sessions you ‘will need’ - as it’s not a question that can be easily answered. However, I recommend committing to 6 sessions initially. This will hopefully give us time for you to feel comfortable to share what you need to, in order to work on what is causing you unhappiness. After 6 sessions, we will review and agree on more sessions, change the frequency or work towards ending. However, you are under no obligation to book further sessions and can choose to finish your therapy when you want to; although I would always recommend having a final ending session.
I offer a free15 minute telephone consultation prior to therapy commencing if you would like to speak to me before deciding to go ahead. It’s my belief that how comfortable you feel with me, will be key in the therapy process.
Payment for sessions will be required 24 hours before each session, by bank transfer or PayPal. For face to face sessions, you can also chose to pay with cash in the session if preferred.
24 hours notice must be given to cancel a session, otherwise a cancellation charge will apply.
Please note due to my insurance restrictions, I can only work with clients who are over 15 years of age.
